Students use Hummingbird Kits to practice coding

On Friday, May 22, Indiana Area School District's Chief Science Officers held a Remake Learning Days event at Eisenhower Elementary for 4th and 5th grade students. CSO is a nationwide organization that works to promote STEAM learning in schools and the community. This year, IASD's CSOs worked to make a STEAM website, host a Remake Learning Days event, and create a composting station at the Junior High.

Remake Learning Days is a learning festival for students and families that is held in regions across the world. The organization aims to promote innovative learning by funding events for students of all ages in libraries, schools, parks, museums, and more. This Remake Learning Days event for Eisenhower students offered a variety of STEAM stations and a large-group activity where students used Hummingbird Kits to practice coding.

What an awesome way to promote STEAM learning! Thank you to our CSOs, Remake Learning Days & their coordinators, and our teachers who made this opportunity available to our students.
