COVID-19 Update

The District was notified of a high school student who has tested positive over the holiday break and he/she has NOT been in school since before Christmas.  This positive case will NOT count towards the rolling 14-day count, as our schools were closed and students were not in session.

COVID-19 Update

The District was notified of 2 more individuals who have tested positive.  Both cases occurred over the holiday break.  Neither of the confirmed cases counts towards the rolling 14-day count, as our schools were closed and students were not in session.

COVID-19 Update - Junior High School

The District was notified of a staff member who has tested positive.  This staff member was in school Monday, Tuesday, and half of the day on Wednesday.  This positive case will count towards the rolling 14-day count as the individual was in school and students were present.

Unfortunately, the District was notified of 11 individuals who have either tested positive, are presumed positive, and/or are symptomatic.  All of these cases occurred over the holiday break.  None of the confirmed cases count towards the rolling 14-day count as our schools were closed and students were not in session.

Bus Incident

Early this morning, I was notified by the Emergency Management Center of Indiana County that the school bus used on IASD bus route 104 was experiencing some technical difficulties in which the bus was sparking.

COVID-19 Quarantine Update

The Department of Health (DOH) notified health care providers that, effective immediately, it has aligned its quarantine guidance for people exposed to COVID-19 with the new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced earlier this week that provides an option for a 10-day quarantine without testing or a seven-day quarantine with a negative test on or after day-five of quarantine.
