Dear Families,
During the April 8, 2019 IASD Board of School Directors meeting, a motion was presented and approved that (1) extends the junior and senior high school days by 5 minutes and (2) delays the start time for the elementary schools beginning with the 2019-2020 school year.
Beginning with the first student day, August 22, the start and end times will be as follows:
- All elementary schools will begin at 9:05 a.m. and end at 4:05 p.m. Dismissal will begin at 3:45 p.m.
- The junior and senior high schools will begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 2:40 p.m.
The additional time at the secondary schools provides them with more flexibility in building master schedules and providing students with more opportunities to build a schedule to best support their individual needs.
